A compendium of the sub-280-character book reviews I post on Twitter. I rate books on a 1-5 emoji scale as follows –
5 – amazing, superbly written, made me feel feelings
4 – a great book, perhaps with some flaws
3 – an average read
2 – it was bad
1 – this should never have been published
Of course, knowing the limitations of the 1-5 system, I do my best to provide context for my ratings. I welcome reactions to these reviews, positive or negative, so feel free to sound off!

A light fantasy/sci-fi read. The premise is interesting (think TMR+THG) and the message of women empowerment is delivered well, and with sensitivity. I do have some + https://t.co/tk3Tff5RXS

I tried to like this book, I really did, but the story was such a flop. Bland characters, generic romcom plot, boring dialogue. I'm supremely disappointed & there's plenty of better f/f w less hype. https://t.co/E6nos1lhnE

As much as it pains me to admit this, I almost wish this series had ended with the second book. This one's still fantastic, but it lacks the unpredictability that made the others so great.
